At first, this couch may look like an antique-style corner sofa. However, it’s a uniquely-designed sleeper sectional sofa for small spaces. In fact, it works much like a convertible futon.
Therefore, if you live in a small apartment or have a compact-sized living room, you don’t necessarily have to forgo that cozy corner sofa. Plus, you can save even more space by not having to buy a guest bed!
Another option for small-space living is murphy wall beds. Except now, you can get them with cabinets and even a murphy bed with a couch.
This Sofa Sleeper Looks Nothing Like a Bed:
The manufacturer cleverly disguised this sectional futon by making it look like an older vintage-style couch.
For example, it has elegant soft velvet upholstery, bolster pillows and old-fashioned scroll legs. As a result, you don’t have to search through antique furniture shops hoping to find a cool-looking vintage sofa.
In addition, the square shaped seat cushions and arm rests have that traditional couch appearance.
Plus, its sophisticated and glamorous design can make it the focal point of the room. Not to mention, it comes in a bunch of fun (but not too bright) colors too.
In other words, you don’t have to shy away from using this sofa in your living room. You’ve got to admit, it has a really smart look to it.
Note: By the way, this couch doesn’t provide storage underneath the seat cushions.

More Ways to Set Up Your Small Space Sectional Sleeper:
As you can see, this sectional is multi-functional, since you can use it as both a couch or a bed. However, it has a couple other cool features that you may not know about.
1. Chose a Right or Left Side Chaise:
First of all, the chaise cushion is interchangeable. Therefore, you can set it up on either side, depending on what works best in your room. Plus, you can change the positioning, should you ever decide to re-arrange your furniture.
2. Recline the Seat Backs Independently:
Second, this futon has a “split-back” design. This means that you can recline the seat back in 2 different sections. Consequently, you have a lot more versatility as far as how you arrange your sectional.
3. Turn Your Sofa into a Lounger:
Third, the back can recline to a “lounging” position (between upright and fully reclined). People like this angle for watching movies, reading or simply relaxing.

Is This Convertible Sofa Comfortable for Sleeping?
This couch measures 83″ long, which is a few inches longer than the average convertible futon. Therefore, it can be more comfortable for sleeping due to its extra length.
However, when laid flat, the width measures between a twin and full-size mattress. As a result, it may be a snug fit for 2 sleeping adults (although the bed can support up to 600 lbs).
As far as being comfortable, don’t expect mattress-like softness. Convertible futons are known for their firm feel, which to some can actually feel more supportive.
That said, you can always add a layer of memory foam or a mattress topper on top of the futon for an extra layer of comfort. (Plus, it helps to protect the sofa upholstery too.)
