What I Like About the Coaster Futon Sofa…
High Style at an Affordable Price
The Coaster Futon Sofa bed gives you the sophisticated stye of a plush leather sofa without the high price tag. You pay less than $400, but you get a comfy sofa plus sleeper that also has adjustable armrests. Not to mention, it looks cool too.
It’s More Comfortable
One of the unique features that I like includes the pillow-top on the back and seat of the sofa. You get more comfort that you would with a traditional convertible futon.

In addition, Coaster Home Furnishings took their styling up a notch. They add white contrasting double-row stitching. This is something I usually see with higher end furniture, so it caught my eye.

It’s Not Real Leather
The sofa has a faux leather upholstery – you don’t get the real thing. You may or may not care, but some people prefer the smell of real leather.
It’s Short
In addition, the futon only measures 6’1″ long. This length may be fine for a sofa, but some people think it’s too short for sleeping.
Metal Legs
Lastly, the futon has chrome legs, as apposed to wood. This feature can tend to make furniture look cheaper, unless you are going for that ultra-modern style.
Tip: If you don’t like the shiny chrome legs, you can easily fix this by spray painting them flat black. I like using a spray paint with primer because it resists chipping and covers really well.

How to Put Together the Coaster Futon Sofa:
